25th July 2013 WI Meeting

Hello Everyone!

The next meeting will take place on Thursday 25th July, at the Royal British Legion, from 7-9pm.

We are very pleased to welcome the Clandestine Cake Club to join us at our meeting.  The theme is Vintage Treats, so do you have a favourite cake that you love to make time and time again? Have you got a classic or inherited recipe you'd love to share? Well this is the time and place to do just that. We know there are some very talented ladies out there!  There will be a short talk from the members of the Clandestine Cake Club and then we will share the tasting.

We would love to come an join us, there is just a couple of points to note:

• Each cake must be large enough to slice into around 8 – 12 good slices.
• Sorry, but NO cupcakes, Muffins, Brownies, Cookies, Pies or Tarts.
• Home-bakers, professional bakers and men can join in. It's not a competition, no judging, just a lot of fun. And you get to take cake home.

Thursday 22nd August, WI meeting: Social evening with Crafts, bring your project, try something new perhaps knitting, crochet?

The Prestwich and Whitefield WI Committee 

27th June 2013 WI meeting

Hello Everyone!


The next meeting will take place on Thursday 27th June, at the Royal British Legion, from 7-9pm.  The subject of this meeting is photography, so bring your point and click camera for some tips from a professional photographer. As normal tea, cake and refreshments will be available.

During the meeting we will be asking for some more volunteers to join our committee, so please think about this and let us know. We meet on the Thursday before the main meeting each month, so if you enjoying coming to our meetings, organising them is just as much fun. We look forward to hearing from you, whatever skills and time you can offer.

The Prestwich and Whitefield WI Committee

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the blog of the Prestwich and Whitefield WI. Please excuse us while we undertake some reconstruction and the new website will be with you soon.

 In the meantime we meet on the final Thursday of every month at the Prestwich Royal British Legion on Bury Old Road, M25 1JE. The meetings start at 7pm.

There is always refreshments and cake available so we hope you can join us, all ladies are very welcome!

The meeting on the 28th June will be all about photography, so come and join us with your point and click camera and get some hints and tips from a professional photographer.

Book Club: Tuesday 18th June, from 5.30pm, upstairs at Costa Coffe, Longfield Centre, Prestwich.

Cake and Craft Club: Saturday 22nd June, 10am - 1pm,  Elms Community Centre, Whitefield. We will be baking lemon tart or making Home cushions. £3 members, £5 non-members to cover cost of the faciltiy hire.
